Queer Voices

A commission for Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in West London, to design an exhibition and installation as part of their Queer Nature festival in October 2023. Called Queer Voices, the installation transformed the east Octagon in the Temperate House into a celebratory space for the telling of queer perspectives on the importance of nature in the forging and uplifting of queer identities. 5 metre high 100% silk hangings create an intimate and acoustically differentiated space for the viewing of three video screens and audio that was created by the Kew curatorial team, including a broad range of queer people, from artists and scientists, to drag queens and botanists, explaining their perspectives on nature.
